What not to do Valentine’s Day

Oh yes it’s that time of the year again when the flowers begin to blossom and the earth never felt so fresh; spring is surely in the air and so in l.o.v.e. Every magazine, article or programme is on the spot to tell you exactly where you should go, what you should do and what you should get for your significant other but today you’re going to get a good dose of what you should NOT to just so that Valentine’s day doesn’t become ‘just another day’ to celebrate your love.

Do NOT have expectations

It’s a killer when you have high and romantic expectations; a candlelight dinner at the most expensive restaurant in town, the biggest pendant at Swarovski, and dozen blood red roses and a box of Ferraro Roche chocolates to go with it does seem like the perfect way to go but you also have to understand and realistic; unless of course your man is a millionaire.

Do NOT drop hint

Don’t we all do it; even the guys! We want something an entire week before the big day, we’re off dropping little hint likes Hansel and Gretel dropping bread crumbs.

Do NOT compare and do NOT boast

Sure us girls would get jealous if another from amongst us got something better and fancier from her guy, but it’s important to remember to be understanding and happy with what you get; your friend might have got a larger bunch of roses or was taken on a holiday someplace exotic and You might have just had a simpler dinner at home or at nearest restaurant but don’t forget – it’s that thought that counts and you should be more than happy to let alone have someone to celebrate with than who might not.

Do NOT be typical

You are you and no one can change that but its’ also healthy to be spontaneous and do something different than you’re usually comfortable with; guy if you want the latest PS3 game, don’t get it for her and play it yourself – buy it for yourself and get her something she might like for a change. Why don’t you make reservations for a dinner out for change or make memory?

Do NOT make excuses

Valentine’s Day is certainly not the day to make any kind of excuses for anything,”I’m tired” or “I have really bad headache and need to get some sleep” is the ultimate punch line and none of you want upset the other. Make an effort, stay healthy and be perky.

Do NOT rush

NOT too big and NOT too small

No one want a tiny gift that makes one feel under-appreciated cause you couldn’t get him or her some thing big enough to be thrilled about; on the other hand a large gift, let’s say a trip out of town.

Do NOT buy him or her, what you want for yourself

It’s important to remember that this day isn’t just YOUR day alone, it’s a day to be shared with your loved one so you got to let loose a bit and give in; compromise a little bit and give each other what they really want.
